Meet our staff: My name is Melanie Edwards. I’m originally from Gates County, NC. I’ve been a cardiac sonographer for 15 years. I have a BA from East Carolina University and went to echocardiography school at Pitt Community College. Prior to coming to work for Dr East, I worked at Duke University Hospital and Sentara Norfolk General Heart Hospital. I joined ECS in 2020. I love getting to meet and interact with people each day and it’s a joy and blessing to work at ECS. It is my goal to ensure your visit is quick, thorough, and painless.
